Kaboodle Launches Unique Holiday Portal

SUNNYVALE, Calif., Dec. 10 /PRNewswire/ -- Kaboodle (http://www.kaboodle.com), the largest and fastest-growing online social shopping community where people discover, recommend and share products, has launched its official Holiday Portal -- Holiday Kit 'n Kaboodle. Major brands use Kaboodle to help execute their online promotions and communications plans for the holidays, relying on Kaboodle's significant reach and focus on shopping and product discovery. On Cyber Monday, Kaboodle experienced a significant increase in traffic with a 177% increase in visitors in comparison to Cyber Monday 2007. Kaboodle's monthly traffic has also grown with over 11.5 Million unique visitors to the site in November of 2008, nearly a 200% increase over November 2007.

With Holiday Kit N' Kaboodle, shoppers can choose from a variety of items in the Holiday Gift Guide, win daily prizes through the Wish-A-Day Giveaway program, and keep abreast of the latest holiday trends and tips with editorial features such as the TrendSpotters and Happy Hosting photo flipbooks and through the daily updated Kaboodle holiday blog. Kaboodle also helps the community shop smart and save money by featuring the best deals and discounts from popular and well-known brands in the fashion, beauty, home and gadgets categories.

At the core of Holiday Kit 'n Kaboodle is the Kaboodle Holiday Gift Guide, featuring more than 1000 gift ideas ranging from bath & beauty, fashion, and gadgets to toys, home & garden, and more. New this season, Kaboodle introduces holiday gift recommendations straight from the shopping community, hosting a user-generated section in the holiday gift guide with unique gift ideas created by a handful of specially-selected Kaboodle members. Online shoppers use Kaboodle's wish lists to add items from within Kaboodle or from anywhere on the Web and to share those items with family and friends. Along with wish lists, Kaboodle provides a range of tools for community members to share their finds and feedback with others, through polls and ratings, comments, blogazine entries and creative online collages.

Based on last year's success, Kaboodle has brought back its Wish-A-Day Giveaway, underway now through December 24, 2008. The Wish-A-Day Giveaway boasts 41 days of giveaways and will award 85 lucky winners with over $25,000 in prizes provided by Kaboodle retail partners. Anyone can enter for a chance to win by adding any item from a participating online retailer to their Kaboodle wish list. Wish-a-Day partners include both community favorites returning from last year as well as a number of new partners. A partial list of this year's prize providers includes JCPenney, Karmaloop, shopbop.com, Bluefly.com, west elm and New York & Company. Kaboodle members have added over 6 million products to Kaboodle.com, to date from over 260,000 vendors. According to comScore, Kaboodle is one of the top 25 Social Networking media companies.

"Kaboodle offers a unique shopping experience which is especially appealing to the consumers in these trying times," stated Manish Chandra, CEO and co-founder of Kaboodle. "We continue to see tremendous growth as shoppers look to each other to find the right products, advice and deals. Kaboodle's rich array of features that include blogazines, wishlists, styleboards and help me choose polls makes the life of holiday shoppers simple and fun. This year we expect over 15 million shoppers to visit Kaboodle during the holiday season."
