Comixology has become the tablet-reading platform for comic books. The reason? Comixology CEO David Steinberger spent time learning the business of comics before figuring out how to digitize it. “We took the time to understand where the market was and that you couldn’t just plow digital into it,” said Steinberger.
In this interview with Steinberger (above), he’ll expand on how failing at a business plan competition helped him refine his ideas and better position the company to quickly cut deals with giants in the space. He’ll also explain why devising two distinct business plans for his company was better than one.
