Think you've got what it takes to be our Entrepreneur of 2014? Apply here by June 17.

Since Limor Fried was named our Entrepreneur of 2012, her company that was once based in a 3,000 square foot live-work space has moved to one almost ten times the size, all zoned for manufacturing to create her open-source electronic hardware kits. The move required investing in high-end, technical equipment that ensured Adafruit Industries has ultimate control over its products -- and its growth.

Says Fried, "If we ever did want to outsource, it would be very easy because we know how to design for manufacturing."
