Good Buys

Want to build a business Web site? You'll need a solid HTML editor like NetObjects Fusion (www.netobjects.com, $300 [street]), a software package that can be used by the HTML-savvy and HTML-ignorant alike.

If you're building and maintaining an e-commerce site, you'll need a scanner or a digital camera. For a scanner, try the Umax Astra 2100U (www.umax.com, $99 [street]), a PC-/Mac-compatible buy that offers 36-bit scans at a maximum 600 x 1,200 dpi hardware resolution.

If a digital camera is more your speed, try the Olympus D-360L (www.olympus.com, $299 [street]). This model has plenty of features, like built-in six-mode autoflash, all geared for point-and-shoot simplicity.
