What's the best resource to find a bookkeeper?
I am a small startup business in Washington, DC in need of a bookkeeper for a 5 employee business. I have tried taking on the task myself, but I also have to wear so many other hats including sales, time does not permit. What resources do you best recommend considering a small budget?

I don't know the best resource but I'd go to the local Small Business Development Center (SBDC) and ask them. Also banks, chamber of commerce, other local business groups, plus the social clubs like Kiwanis and all those. Ask the business school at the local community college too.
