I have a website idea that's very promising. A CEO of a web design and marketing firm expressed a lot of interest in taking on the project together and wants to set up a meeting. I have no experience in web design. Should I give the designer a cut in the contract or should I seek capital from outside investors, then pay a web designer with a salary.
I not only want there to be blogs, forums, photos, videos and customizable personal page but I also would like my social network to have information, articles and other resources. What would be the first step in accomplishing this goal?
I'm just getting started on this, so I have many questions! I have had an idea for a local website for my city. This would include events, jobs, dating, ads (a Craigslist, just on a much smaller scale). This goal of mine wakes me up every morning at 4AM!!! I must do this!! Thanks for anything you can share with me.
I have seen a few sites that will make the website for you. I saw that theirs is a network of ticket brokers that list their tickets on your site. I think you charge whatever you want over the ticket brokers' list price and that is your profit. Is that a good business model?
