As far as small sport/utilities go, this is a pretty strong entry, courtesy of Saturn's linkup with Opel. It's most certainly light-years better than the old Vue.

The Euro-influence seems to shine through in its solid ride quality; the Vue is at home hammering down the road at more than 80 mph but is forgiving enough to deal with road imperfections. The cabin also feels tight, with good noise isolation, build and materials quality.

Our only gripe is that this Green Line lacks the breath to make overtaking on the highway a breezy proposition. You have to have a little more forethought before executing a pass. That these Vues are pretty porky certainly doesn't help.

For those who insist on driving a hybrid, this is an affordable enough option to consider.
