Apparently, a lot. We first blogged about Cocaine energy drink in October, just a few months after it began appearing on store shelves. Its controversial name immediately grabbed the attention of the Food and Drug Administration, not to mention parents across the country, saying it was promoting the use of the actual drug. Today, Las Vegas-based Redux Beverages LLC says its Cocaine energy drink has been pulled from stores nationwide because of concerns regarding its name. The FDA issued a warning to Redux last month, saying the company was illegally marketing Cocaine as a street drug alternative and a dietary supplement. A partner of Redux says the company plans to continue selling the drink, but under a new name for the time being.
