School Says - Admissions
Post University welcomes applicants who are motivated to succeed academically and in life. Admission to Post University is based upon an evaluation of the candidate's qualifications and the recommendation of an Admissions Counselor. All decisions are made without regard to race, creed, color, religion, national origin, handicap, or sexual orientation. Criteria for admission are objective as well as subjective. The applicant's academic experience, standardized test scores, personal qualities, recommendations, and individual characteristics are considered. Post has a rolling admissions policy. The Admissions Committee makes a decision with respect to a candidate's admission to the University as soon as the candidates file is complete. The minimum requirements to make an admissions decision are official high school transcripts, standardized test scores, and the recommendation of an Admissions Counselor, which is gained through an admissions interview. International students are required to earn a minimum score of 500 on the paper-based version or 173 on the computer-based version of the TOEFL and adhere to the above requirements. Campus visit appointments may be scheduled Monday through Thursday at 1:00 pm, Friday at 11:00am, 1:00pm or 3:00pm, and Saturdays at 11:00am or 1:00pm. Post periodically offers Group Information Sessions, on-site and off-site Open Houses. To schedule a campus visit, students should call the Office of Admission at 800.345.2562 (toll-free) or send an e-mail message to admissions@Post.edu. Transfer candidates must have a minimum GPA of 2.0 and must file transcripts from all other colleges and universities attended. Grades of C or higher may receive transfer credits. The maximum number of transfer credits allowed for bachelor's candidates is 90; the maximum for associate candidates is 30. To apply, students should submit the application form, the nonrefundable $40 application fee, a recommendation, SAT or ACT scores, and the applicable transcripts. A file must be completed before an admissions decision is made. Post employs a system of rolling admissions. However, each student should attempt to file the application packet as soon as possible. This gives the Admissions Committee the opportunity to carefully review the application and grants the student a chance to begin preparation for life at college.
