School Says - General InformationEstablished in 1931, Berkeley College is a coeducational college specializing in business. With seven locations in New York and New Jersey, USA, an online "campus," and students from 29 states and 112 foreign countries, Berkeley is widely recognized for its academic excellence. Berkeley draws its strength from balancing academic preparation, professional training, and hands-on experience. Since its inception, the College has evolved and expanded to be recognized as a premier educator in preparing men and women for careers in business. Berkeley's commitment to excellence constitutes the primary objective of the College. Small classes, individualized advisement and counseling, and the development of the student's creative and analytical skills support this commitment. Because Berkeley believes that teaching should encompass both a conceptual and practical perspective, the faculty is selected for both their academic credentials and professional experience. The Middle States Commission on Higher Education accredits Berkeley College, and the New York State Board of Regents authorizes the New York City and Westchester campuses. Academic programs in New York and New Jersey are registered by the New York State Education Department and The New Jersey Commission on Higher Education, respectively. The Paralegal Studies program at all campuses is approved by the American Bar Association (ABA).
