Student clubs and organizations are the fuel that keeps the campus engine going. At Bryn Athyn, you'll embrace opportunities to take on leadership positions and become involved in activities that are important to you. Our approach to academics incorporates a strong liberal arts foundation, spiritual values that permeate the curriculum, experiential learning, and a personalized approach tailored to your needs and interests. The teachings of the New Church inform our curriculum and will help you explore what it means to live an engaged and useful life. Things to note about academics at Bryn Athyn: - 100% of courses are taught by professors so your classroom experiences will be high quality and intellectually engaging. - A student-to-faculty ratio of 7:1 means you'll know your professors and will get a personalized education to meet your needs. - Our generous endowment makes our quality education affordable. - The new Grant R. Doering Center for Science and Research (scheduled for completion fall 2009) will enhance an already strong science program. - Experiential learning, taking shape through service, international experiences, and an extensive internship program, will broaden your skills, knowledge, and world view.

Bryn Athyn College takes a holistic approach to evaluating applications. In addition to secondary school transcripts and standardized test scores, the Bryn Athyn College Admissions Committee uses essays, recommendations and personal interviews to determine if applicants are qualified and would be a good fit for the College. Candidates for admission not only have solid academic backgrounds but will also contribute positively to the moral and religious life of the College. Bryn Athyn College has a rolling admissions policy. Applications are accepted throughout the year. Priority deadlines for admissions are as follows: Fall entry Ââ€" Feb. 1 Winter entry Ââ€" Oct. 1 Spring entry Ââ€" Jan. 1 A completed application file consists of the following: - Completed Application Form (PDF), or completed Online Application - Official secondary school transcripts (High School Diploma or GED required for admission) - Official SAT Reasoning Test (SAT) or ACT with Writing Test scores - Teacher Recommendation (PDF) and Guidance Counselor Recommendation (PDF) - Employer Recommendation (PDF) for applicants out of school 1 year of more The College gives advanced standing and academic credit to students whose scores on Advanced Placement (AP) tests meet our criteria or who have participated in the International Baccalaureate Diploma (IB) Program

Bryn Athyn College, located just northeast of Philadelphia, enjoys being a part of the borough of Bryn Athyn, a warm and thriving communityÂâ€"and also a national historic landmark district. The close-knit community takes pride in its educational and historic institutions and its many beautiful outdoor spaces. The community's ties to the College are tightÂâ€"Bryn Athyn's neighbors enjoy many events in the College's Mitchell Performing Arts Center, Glencairn Museum and Bryn Athyn Cathedral. And, everyone enjoys access to the nearby Pennypack Ecological Restoration Trust with eight miles of public trails.

The costs for tuition, comprehensive fees, and room and board for the 2008-2009 academic year are $16,473. Tuition Fees: The tuition fee per year of three terms at the College is $8,676. Comprehensive Fees: The comprehensive fee is intended to help meet the cost of classroom supplies and teaching tools, laboratory fees, social activities, athletic supplies, etc. The comprehensive fee per year of three terms at the College is $1,944. Board and Room Fees: The regular room and board charge for all students living on campus per year of three terms is $5,853. Please Note: there may be a surcharge to the room and board fee for those students who opt to live in the new student cottages, amount to be determined.Bryn Athyn College is committed to giving all students interested in pursuing their studies at Bryn Athyn College access to a quality education. Our generous endowment makes the affordability of our education possible. The cost of attending for 2008-2009 is $16,473. Financial assistance is available in many forms, and most students are eligible for one or more types of assistance. In 2007-2008, 95% of students who applied for financial aid received assistance. In addition to accepting Federal financial aid, Bryn Athyn College also offers both merit based scholarships and generous need-based institutional aid.
