Jim Casparie is the founder and CEO of The Venture Alliance (TVA), a national firm based in Newport Beach, California, that's dedicated to getting companies funded. As a significant innovator in the angel and venture capital investing space for almost 20 years, Jim's developed new ways to fund and build companies and has been on both sides of the funding table, raising millions of dollars for both himself and his clients. He's been an entrepreneur, investor and board member in numerous, successful startups.
Jim was a founding principal in the nationally recognized angel capital firm, Angel Strategies, where he was responsible for recruiting their base angel network. He established the original concept for TVA, which is a spin-off company of Angel Strategies, and established TVA's offices in Boston, Atlanta, New York City, San Diego and Charlotte, North Carolina.
Since 1987, Jim's been the personal advisor to hundreds of top-level executives across a diverse range of industries. He was co-founder and CEO of the ABL Organization and Executive Director of SoCAL Ten, the two leading networking organizations for the CEOs of VC-backed companies. Jim is also a founding member and past chairman of the board for the Forum for Corporate Directors. He was also chairman of the board and CEO of TRG Consultancy Inc., a firm specializing in providing quality resources to growing high-technology companies.
