Originally called Ribbon Recyclers Inc., Full Circle Image was formed in 1991 by four entrepreneurs in Rochester, Minnesota. With backgrounds in marketing re-inked printer ribbons, accounting and telemarketing, they launched a recycling enterprise to provide customers an alternative to the high cost of new printer ribbons. They soon realized there was a market for recycled toner and inkjet cartridges as well as printer ribbons.
