Women's Health Boutique Franchise System Inc.

Women's health-care products & services

Background

Founded: 1991 Franchising since: 1994
In 1991 sisters Vivki Jones and Seleta Lovell opened the first Women's Health Boutique as a legacy to their late mother, Billie Dortch. Suffering from a 17-month battle with cancer, Dortch passed away in 1987 and left her home medical equipment business to her two daughters. With a desire to offer women better health alternatives than those their mother experienced, Jones and Lovell designed Women's Health Boutique as a safe, compassionate place where women could find the health products they needed. The Cypress, Texas-based company began franchising in 1994 and has more than 18 units throughout the United States.

In 1996, Women's Health Boutique became a subsidiary of The International Center for Entrepreneurial Development (ICED), which owns franchise companies including Copy Club, Kwik Kopy, Franklin's Printing, American Wholesale Thermographers, The Ink Well of America and Parcel Plus.
