Two West buys LA design company

Two West Inc., a Kansas City-based design firm with 49 local employees, has bought Melanie Paykos Design, a graphic design firm in Los Angeles.
Melanie Paykos Design will operate as Two West in the Los Angeles area, where it has several entertainment brand clients, including Paramount Pictures and DreamWorks.
Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Two West CEO Ethan Whitehill said long-term plans for the company's new Los Angeles office is to increase its six-employee staff to make it comparable to its Kansas City headquarters.
