CNP Technologies has acquired the voice-communications business assets of Network Communications Technologies Inc.

The deal includes ShoreTel Inc. customers and operations in North Carolina, Georgia, Tennessee and West Virginia. California-based ShoreTel (NASDAQ:SHOR) is provider of Internet Protocol communications systems through reseller agreements.

Financial terms weren't disclosed.

Charlotte-based CNP Technologies provides data, voice and security services to clients throughout the United States.

Network Communications Technologies, based in Pineville, markets network connectivity services to companies throughout the Southeast.
