Fortune 1000 list includes two Hawaii companies

Two Hawaii companies have made this year's Fortune 1000 list, an annual ranking of the nation's largest companies by revenue.

Honolulu-based Hawaiian Electric Industries (NYSE: HE) was ranked No. 764. The company had revenues of $2.5 billion in 2007. Hawaiian Electric was previously No. 753 on the list.

Alexander & Baldwin (Nasdaq: ALEX), also based in Honolulu, held steady at No. 946. The company's revenues totaled $1.7 billion in 2007.
