EA co-founder Gordon joins Kleiner Perkins

Kleiner Perkins Caufield & Byers said on Monday that William "Bing" Gordon will join the firm as a partner in June.

For the last 10 years, Gordon was chief creative officer at Redwood City-based Electronic Arts Inc. (NASDAQ: ERTS).

Gordon will maintain his relationship with Electronic Arts as chief creative officer emeritus, and return to the company to lead periodic workshops on innovation with EA Studio leaders. Gordon co-founded Electronic Arts in 1982.

Gordon is a member of the board of directors ofAmazon.com. He is also a trustee at the Urban School of San Francisco.
