San Antonio business owner Jeanie Wyatt, CFA, has been named one of the Top 50 distinguished women in the wealth management industry by Wealth Manager Magazine.

The Top 50 list appears in the April issue of the magazine. Wyatt is the chief investment officer and CEO of South Texas Money Management. Wyatt is the only woman from San Antonio to be included on this year's Top 50 list.

Women were selected because the magazine's editors felt that each woman is a role model for the next generation of women financial advisers.

"It is an honor to be on this list," Wyatt says. "Investment management is an exciting and challenging career and I feel that women can and do excel in this field."

Wyatt founded South Texas Money Management in 2000 after leaving an executive position at Cullen/Frost Bankers Inc. (NYSE: CFR).

Today her firm offers investment advisory services to individuals, trusts, estates, employee benefit plans and endowments. The company also has more than $1.6 billion in assets under management and offices in San Antonio, Austin and Houston.

Wealth Manager Magazine furnishes news content to investment advisers, brokers and financial planners who manage assets for clients with a high net worth. The publication's coverage areas are designed to assist advisers and planners build, sustain, and expand their practices.
