Eclipse Aviation Corp. has received certification to register and operate the Eclipse 500 very light jet in India and Australia.

The director General of Civil Aviation in India granted the company's first foreign country certification on April 7, and the Civil Aviation Safety Agency in Australia certified the jet on April 22. The certifications allow Eclipse to export aircraft, receive certificates of airworthiness, and list the jet on the registry in those countries, said President and CEO Vern Raburn in a news release.

"We are experiencing a tremendous amount of interest for the Eclipse 500 outside of the United States, and these certifications in India and Australia position us to meet the strong demand for this innovative aircraft in these countries," Raburn said.
