Pyxis taps new CEO

Pyxis Mobile Inc., a provider of wireless applications for financial services companies, has tapped Robert Mazzarella as chairman and CEO, the company said on Tuesday.

Mazzarella replaces Shane Hughes as CEO of the Waltham, Mass.-based company. Hughes will remain involved in the company via an advisory role and board participation. Previously Mazzarella was a member of the Pyxis board and an executive adviser to the company.

Prior to joining Pyxis, Mazzarella was a senior executive at Fidelity in Boston.

"Bob brings a wealth of executive-level industry experience and a track record of successful business growth," said Pyxis co-founder and CTO Todd Christy, in a statement.
