Baskin-Robbins is planning to open more than 100 stores in the Houston area over the next several years.

The Canton, Mass.-based company currently operates 33 locations in Houston and more than 90 stores across Texas.

The ice-cream chain's Houston move is part of an aggressive growth strategy that includes expanding in existing markets while entering new cities throughout the country.

The company is actively seeking new franchisees willing to own and operate a minimum of three stores in Houston and the surrounding counties of Harris, Fort Bend, Galveston, Chambers, Liberty, Montgomery, Waller, Brazoria and Walker.
