Eclipse Aviation Corp. has received permission from the U.S. Department of Commerce Bureau of Industry and Security to export the company's very light jet, as well as components for the aircraft, to Russia.

Foreign Affairs and International Trade Canada's Export and Import Controls Bureau also granted a permit to Pratt & Whitney Canada and to Eclipse to export the PW610F engine to Russia. Pratt & Whitney provide the engines for the Eclipse 500 jet.

Eclipse and its Dutch partner, ETIRC Aviation, plan to establish an Eclipse jet assembly plant in Russia in 2009.
