The health plan now said some of the operations of its Consolidated Service Center will move to California and the rest to Colorado. The center handles member enrollment, premium billing and collections for five regions: Hawaii, the northwest United States, Colorado, Ohio and Georgia.

Colorado was picked after Kaiser examined several factors, including a strong labor pool, geography and growing Kaiser membership.

Kaiser said it expected the Consolidated Service Center will be located near Kaiser's regional headquarters in Denver.
