New Mexico will be in the spotlight this week on the Travel Channel.

The cable network's "Into America's West" program airs on May 22 at 9 p.m. and May 24 at 4 p.m. on Comcast channel 56. Host Jeff Corwin will show off the state to an international audience.

Among the places he visits are Taos Pueblo, Sandia Peak Tram and the Red River Ski Area for a snowmobile race.

Corwin also gives viewers a close look at a den of Western Diamondback Rattlesnakes and a huge Gila monster. He also will be roping at a New Mexico ranch and taking a tour of White Sands that includes beetles, turtles and insects. Corwin will raft through the Taos Box, float in an air balloon over the Rio Grande Gorge Bridge, relax at the Ojo Caliente Mineral Springs Resort & Spa and tool around Santa Fe.
