AT&T Inc. has named Don Cain the new president of AT&T Texas, the company said Tuesday. He replaces James Epperson Jr., who is taking on a new role in the corporate headquarters in San Antonio.

Cain has worked with AT&T since 1979 and has built-up his resume working in customer service, regulatory and external affairs. He currently works for AT&T in Oklahoma and is chairman of the Oklahoma State Chamber. However, he was born in Pampa, a city in the Texas Panhandle.

"As a native Texan, I am happy to return home and even happier about continuing the vibrant relationship between the state of Texas and AT&T to make Texas the most innovative and connected state in the nation," he says.
