The real estate company that built Rockefeller Center in New York some 70 years ago announced Wednesday that it has opened a Phoenix office at 2347 E. Camelback Road. Rockefeller Group Development Corp., which is based in New York City, is developing three projects in Chandler, two in Gilbert and an industrial commercial center in Tucson.

"By establishing an office in Phoenix, RGDC is better able to serve the needs of the market rather than managing our important Arizona projects from our very active California office," said Kevin Hackett, president and CEO, in a news release.

The office will be headed by Mark Singerman, formerly western regional president of Crosswinds National LLC in Phoenix. He will be responsible for all aspects of development and management of RGDC projects and properties in Arizona, including Rockefeller Group Commerce Center, a 866,000-square-foot business park under construction on 76 acres in Chandler near the intersection of Gilbert and Queen Creek Roads.
