News Flash

Our flight leaves in an hour, and you're in your hotel room, furiously packing your bags. You finally make the mad dash to the airport, only to discover your flight has been delayed. If only you had known ahead of time!

Travelocity, one of the Internet's most extensive travel sites, offers a new service designed to save business travelers time. It's called Flight Paging, and anyone with an alphanumeric pager with nationwide paging capabilities can use it free. Just log on to Travelocity's Web site and register your flight information. Flight changes, such as gate or terminal numbers, departure times, and weather or mechanical delays, are automatically sent to your pager up to an hour before takeoff. Nonpassengers scheduled to meet business associates at the airport can also benefit by notification from arrival times.

At press time, participating airlines included America West, American, Continental, Delta, TWA, US Airways, Air France and British Airways. Although the service has only been available for six months, Travelocity reports that at any given moment, Flight Paging is keeping tabs on several thousand flights. To register, visit Travelocity's Web site at http://www.travelocity. com
