Busch IV takes home $12.2M in 2007
Anheuser-Busch Cos. Inc. President and CEO August Busch IV received more than $12.2 million in compensation in 2007, according to the company's proxy filed Monday with the Securities and Exchange Commission.
Busch IV, who also is chairman and president of subsidiary Anheuser-Busch Inc., took home more than $1.2 million in base salary, a $2.5 million bonus and $8.3 million in stock option awards. He also received $206,013 in other compensation, which include costs for personal use of a company car, use of the company barber and beer for personal use and entertaining.
In 2006, Busch IV received $972,917 in salary, a $1.2 million bonus and $7.2 million in stock option awards.

Vice President and CFO W. Randolph Baker received almost $3.7 million in 2007 pay. He received a salary of $645,750, a $650,000 bonus, $2.3 million in stock option awards and $104,780 in other compensation.
Mark Bobak, whoresigned from A-B in Decemberas group vice president and chief legal officer, took home more than $9 million in 2007. He received $634,608 in 2007 salary, a $600,000 bonus, $5.3 million in stock option awards and more than $2.5 million in other compensation. Bobak's other compensation includes $2.4, which will be paid to him on Jan. 2, 2013,under a consulting contract.
Douglas Muhleman, group vice president of brewing, operations and technology for Anheuser-Busch Inc., received more than $3.3 million in pay in 2007. That includes a $603,488 salary, a $545,000 bonus, $2.1 million in stock option awards and $81,854 in other compensation.
Michael Owens, vice president of business operations for Anheuser-Busch Inc. received $3 million in 2007. He took home a base salary of $540,000, a $475,000 bonus, $1.9 million in stock option awards and $85,717 in other compensation.
It wasrevealed in Februarythat the Anheuser-Busch Cos. Inc. board of directors compensation committee doled out $4.8 million in 2007 bonuses to top executives.
The bonuses were awarded because the company met a specified level of pre-tax earnings for 2007 as its performance goal, though the filing did not say what exactly the goal was.
St. Louis-based Anheuser-Busch Cos. Inc. (NYSE: BUD), through its Anheuser-Busch Inc. subsidiary, is the leading domestic brewer, holding a 48.5 percent share of U.S. beer sales. The company also manufactures and recycles aluminum cans and operates theme parks.
