CANOPUS DEBUTS OHCI-BASED ACEDVIO ANALOG/DV CAPTURE.

Canopus Corporation, San Jose, Calif., has introduced ACEDVio(TM), the only OHCI-based video editing solution to deliver analog and DV capture and output with native OHCI support for all popular video cameras and decks, including VHS, S-VHS, Hi-8 Digital8, DV and DVCAM. By using Canopus's proven DV codec technology to provide unmatched picture quality, along with the company's locked audio technology for perfect audio and video synchronization, ACEDVio reflects the strong engineering and product stability found in Canopus's line of professional level video products.

ACEDVio comes bundled with a complete, fully-functioning version Sonic Foundry(R)'s Vegas(R) 4.0, a Windows-based integrated realtime video and audio nonlinear editing with comprehensive features that allow for multitrack mixing, compositing, color correction, titling, streaming media encoding and 5.1 multichannel surround sound production.

"With our codec technology and Sonic Foundry's Vegas 4.0 editing software, we've taken OHCI to a new level," said Robert Sharp, general manager of the sales and marketing division of Canopus Corporation. "While the Canopus codec technology brings the highest quality analog to DV and DV to analog conversions to OHCI, Vegas 4.0 brings advanced editing features, such as realtime video preview, that are not standard OHCI offerings."

"We're extremely pleased that Canopus has chosen Vegas 4.0 as the platform of choice for the launch of their new ACEDVio capture card," said Brad Reinke, senior vice president and general manager of Sonic Foundry. "Canopus is known for providing world-class solutions for production professionals, and now with the pairing of Vegas and their new OHCI card, have once again confirmed their commitment to providing first-rate comprehensive solutions that are second-to- none."

ACEDVio also includes Ulead(R) DVD MovieFactory(TM) 2.0 SE, Ulead's popular DVD creation software. DVD MovieFactory gives users an intuitive tool for sharing high-quality videos and digital image slideshows on DVDs and CDs.

ACEDVio supports a wide variety of popular editing applications, such as Adobe Premiere, Final Cut Pro, Edition, iMovie, Ulead MediaStudio Pro, Windows Movie Maker and Xpress DV. ACEDVio also provides easy connections for storage devices, CD-RW drives, scanners, digital still cameras, and more.
