CD Trustee is a software program that catalogs your music collection for you. Simply insert your CDs into a computer and the program does the rest. The new Pro version also lets you catalog your collection by specifying an album title, artist name or song. An Internet database is accessed to gather the song titles, artist name, album title and more automatically, saving you months of tedious typing.
Simply press a button that says "Add CD's Automatically." You then insert a music CD into your computer and wait a few seconds while the program reads and automatically ejects that CD. After inserting many discs, press another button to access the Internet and sit back while your CD database is built for you. Additional data can be added manually, such as the location of the disc, your ratings, or whether you loaned it to a friend. Your collection is then easily accessible for viewing, searching, or reporting.
What if you want to catalog LPs and cassettes, or don't want to insert CDs into your computer? With the new Professional Version, you can search for any artist, album or song by name. Click a button to add the found album, complete with song titles. This is big news for LP collectors. An Internet connection is optional for this feature, since a huge database of the world's music is supplied on the Professional Version CD.
Both versions print jewel case inserts, CD labels, and extensive reports of your collection.
CD Trustee is $39.95(US), and runs on computers that use Microsoft Windows. The new Professional Version (supplied only on CD) costs $79.95.
