digiOPTIX, Austin, Texas has announced that its newly acquired Panasonic Capsule glass mastering system has passed all acceptance and certification testing. This new system services new and existing customers throughout the United States with CD, DVD-5 and DVD-9 glass mastering services.
The Panasonic Capsule glass mastering system, the first one installed in the United States, is capable of producing up to 90 CD stampers or 45 DVD stampers per day at speeds of 8x and 3R. "We're responding to the strong demand for mastering services in the replication industry," noted Romeo Manzanilla, COO of digiOPTIX. "For years, we have been outsourcing our own glass mastering, suffering through bad customer service and marginal quality stampers. We realized that if we wanted to continue to grow, we would have to bring mastering in-house to have better control of our turn times and to produce the highest quality discs."
"Additionally," Manzanilla stated, "we realized that because the replication industry has been experiencing a tremendous amount of growth recently, there was an opportunity to position ourselves to offer mastering services to those plants that do not have in-house mastering. We selected the Panasonic Capsule system after carefully reviewing the capabilities and reputation of several different systems including ODC, ODME and OMP. We found that the Panasonic system had a proven track record for its reliability and consistency in producing high quality optical disc stampers. We feel confident we have the very best mastering system along with the best technical and customer service staff available. We realize that our success will be completely dependent on our customer's satisfaction and our commitment to their success."
