Multifon.(Central America)(contract with UTStarcom Inc.)(Brief Article)

MULTIFON, a Honduran telecommunications company, signed a contract with UTStarcom a U.S. wireless network provider, to set-up 50,000 lines of iPAS, or fixed wireless telephony, throughout Honduras--the first network of its kind in Latin America, The deal is expected to generate an income of US$300 million for Hondutel, the state-owned telecommunications provider.
