BANCO CONTINENTAL DE PANAMA (BCP), the country's third-largest commercial bank, received a US$40 million loan from the International Finance Corporation (IFC), an arm of the World Bank. The loan enables BCP to continue providing long-term mortgages and other retail loans to clients. The IFC will also help BCP establish an environmental management system to assess the environmental sustainability of projects it finances for clients.
