Chile's Media and Communications Ethics Council is pressing charges against domestic television broadcaster Chilevision for unethical practices after TV station reporters used hidden cameras to record a private conversation between Judge Daniel Calvo and an acquaintance and then aired the tape. The ethics council also says that Chilevision lost control of its investigative reporting when it contracted a person outside the company to record the images. Four reporters as well as one station executive will go to trial.
