The cost of logging on to the Internet in Latin America varies from reasonable to prohibitively expensive. At around US$13 a month, Argentina is cheapest. Nicaraguans pay a steep $51 for the same amount of Internet time. Brazilians and Guatemalans pay closest to the regional average, about $30. The world average is almost $37 per month, while in the Americas it's just over $31, according to the International Telecommunication Union. Europeans pay less, $21.50 on average.
