REPSOL YPF, a Spanish oil company, invested US$350 million to build a liquefied natural gas and regasification terminal in the port of Lazaro Cardenas on Mexico's Pacific coast. The terminal, due for completion in 2008, will have an annual capacity of 4 billion cubic meters.
