An Argentine judge ruled that the government does not own US$11.5 million held by former state-run postal service Coffee Argentino in New York accounts because they are not national assets. The judge said that only assets involved in the provision of postal services could be passed on to the government. The ruling blocks a U.S. court decision allowing Uruguay's Macrotecnic International, which holds $550,000 in defaulted Argentine bonds, to seize part of the assets as payment.
