HALLIBURTON, a U.S. oil-field service provider, said it would take a charge of US$62 million during the first quarter of 2004 due to disputes concerning a stalled oil project with Brazil's state run oil company Petrobras. Halliburton said it had reached an agreement with Petrobras to extend deadlines to develop the project.
