Brazilian jet maker Embraer said it expects to deliver 160 planes to clients in 2004. Among the orders is one for up to 50 Embraer 170-model aircraft from U.S. airline group Republic Airways Holdings, to be delivered in the third quarter, as well as 16 ERJ 145LR-model Jets, valued at US$320 million, sent in May. Embraer delivered two of its 170-model jets to U.S. Airways, the first of 85 airplanes on an order totaling $2.1 billion. Embraer also delivered its 170-model jets to Poland's LOT Polish Airlines and sold six ERJ 145LR jets to China Southern Airlines in June.
