El Salvador attracts leading call center operations.(Special Advertising Feature)(Advertisement)

Global companies are now choosing El Salvador as the new home for their call center operations, taking full advantage of the country's skilled workforce, political and economic stability, and competitive business costs.

Outsourcing giants Sykes Enterprises Inc. and Teleperformance have both established operations in El Salvador, each making an investment that exceeds US$5 million. Both companies' operations were brought to El Salvador through the efforts of El Salvador's Investment Promotion Agency, PROESA, which created a successful strategy in 2001 to attract call center operations.

The Sykes center will employ around 400 bilingual staff in its initial phase, while the Teleperformance center already employs 160 staff. The Teleperfomance staff figure is expected to grow to 1,300 by the end of 2005. Both companies will serve clients based in the United States.

WHY EL SALVADOR?

Companies interested in investing in El Salvador, can take advantage of the country's state-of-the-art telecommunications infrastructure, stable dollar-based economy, sizeable bilingual workforce, outstanding business environment, highly competitive operation costs, and the permanent support of a government committed to facilitating foreign investment.

Quality customer service is the key to attracting and maintaining customers. And while technology can increase your company's productivity, nothing can replace the most vital element of all the human touch. El Salvador offers a skilled and customer-oriented workforce with a neutral Spanish accent, which is recognized around the world.

"We are pleased that such prestigious companies have decided to establish operations in El Salvador. Just five years ago, El Salvador wasn't considered as a destination for establishing call centers," said Patricia Figueroa, Executive Director of PROESA. "But as a result of PROESA's hard work and vision, El Salvador now ranks as a favorite location among the customer service and telemarketing industry."

PROESA, which was created in 2000, is dedicated to assisting foreign investors who seek investment opportunities in El Salvador. To learn more about PROESA or to contact the agency, visit http://www.elsalvadorworks.com.
