Weekly UpdatesALCOA, a U.S. aluminum company, said it awarded Brazilian power company Eletronorte a contract to supply electricity to its Alumar aluminum smelter in northern Brazil thourgh 2024. Alcoa did not disclose financial terms of the deal but said the power contract could help it expand operations in Brazil.
