Weekly UpdatesCOLOMBIA said it would give tax refunds to those using credit or debit cards on a monthly basis, instead of the current quarterly basis. Colombia's tax collection agency said it applies a 16% value-added tax to credit card use but reduced the tax to 14%, refunding US$5 million to about 2 million Colombians during the first quarter of 2004.
