REMOTEPIPES SIGNS WIFI PACTS WITH AIRPATH/FATPORT.

Tele-Service News • Jan 1, 2005 •

RemotePipes Inc., Minneapolis, a provider of worldwide mobile Internet access solutions, has added thousands of additional WiFi hot spots to its globally aggregated IP network after entering into network access agreements with Airpath Wireless, Inc. and FatPort.

IP Roamer Global Wireless Internet Access Service

RemotePipes, Airpath, and FatPort have completed the integration of the networks of Wi-Fi hotspots into the RemotePipes IP Roamer branded global wireless Internet access network, which consists of over 28,000 global dial-up and WiFi access points in 150 countries. RemotePipes is forecasting that the IP Roamer network will provide over 35,000 dialup and WiFi zones and hotspots by the end of 2004 and well over 50,000 locations and hot spots by 2005.

"We're excited to be partnering with RemotePipes," states Claudia Ng, CEO of FatPort. "RemotePipes has a great reputation for serving companies and organizations with one to thousands of traveling and mobile users; spanning corporate, government, military, non-profit, and education entities. As a result, we expect to see a noticeable network usage increase -- which is great for all FatPort locations."

Customers that are using RemotePipes services today are excited about the new WiFi roaming capabilities. Steven Rickman, Partner at The Mercanti Group, LLC, an investment banking firm in Minneapolis, stated, "We have been using the RemotePipes TollFreeISP dialup service and we have been very satisfied with it except for the fact that we have needed to buy WiFi services from other providers. The IP Roamer service, with both dial-up and WiFi, is going to serve our needs much better. We would prefer to deal with a single provider that is aggregating multiple networks and giving us one point of contact for billing, reporting and support. We like the RemotePipes vision."

The IP Roamer remote access service encompasses all of the functionality of the RemotePipes TollFreeISP branded worldwide dial-up Internet access service that was launched in May 2003, while also adding access to a robust WiFi hot spot footprint and introducing an industry leading, customizable web-enabled reporting tool for small and medium sized companies (SME/SMB) branded Accuporting. Accuporting enables any company regardless of corporate size or structure to create real-time usage and cost tracking reports, tailored to their needs, delivering unprecedented transparency and visibility into the company's remote access activities.

With the IP Roamer client software a customer simply needs to enter in a single username and password for authentication on the IP Roamer global roaming remote access network and the user is then able to access multiple IP networks at their leisure.

Eric Engbers, president of RemotePipes, remarks, "We want our customers to have the best wireless roaming experience possible which means a lot more than just adding hotspots. FatPort has the single largest and most reliable Wi-Fi network footprint in Canada today and that makes them an obvious choice for our IP Roamer service. Airpath has a highly reliable WiFi network with coverage in 23 countries today, and they are expanding their coverage at a fast rate. We look forward to providing our growing worldwide customer base and our channel partners with these proven Wi-Fi services."

The IP Roamer wireless Internet access offering includes 100% geographic coverage in nine countries including the US, Canada, UK, Netherlands, Switzerland, Belgium, Germany, France, and New Zealand.

Availability and Pricing

The newly integrated IP Roamer WiFi Internet access services are available immediately. All services are offered on a "pay as you go" basis, with prepaid and post-paid options. Pricing is based upon hourly and daily rates according to the plan and rate category selected.

The IP Roamer WiFi sniffer and multiple access method connectivity software is available now as a free download at http://www.iproamer.com. The free WiFi finder software will not be active unless a plan is purchased.
