Executive suite: At Morris Publishing Group LLC of Augusta, Ga., Mark Cohen has been named vice president of the eastern division (nine dailies, nine shoppers); previously he was a vice president of Community Newspapers Holdings Inc. Earlier in his career, Cohen was an executive with Thomson Newspapers, including a stint as vice president of advertising for the Indiana group and as director of niche publications. ... At Lee Enterprises Inc., Dennis Walters has been named chief pilot; previously he was captain of the company's corporate jet. An 11-year veteran of the company, Walters has been a pilot for nearly 30 years. He replaces Mark Bauer, who retired from the company after 34 years. ... At Hoy, the Spanish-language daily published in New York, Chicago and Los Angeles, Javier Aldape has been named editor and vice president for product and audience development; most recently he was publisher of Diario La Estrella, the Spanish-language daily published by Texas' Fort Worth Star-Telegram. Aldape joined the Star-Telegram in 1999 and also served on the English-language paper's editor board. Between 1996 and 1998, Aldape was managing editor of Ecuador's El Telegrafo. And, at the New York City edition of Hoy, Anibal Torres has been named vice president and general manager; previously he was publisher of El Sentinel, the Spanish-language weekly in Orlando, Fla. (both are Tribune papers). Torres began his career with McGraw-Hill, rising from a sales rep in Puerto Rico to managing director for Latin America. In the early 1990s he was the owner and general manager of COSMO Radio and later was publisher of Passport Orlando as well as division manager for regional advertising at the Orlando Sentinel. ... At the Knoxville, Tenn.-based Scripps Network division of The E.W. Scripps Co., Linda Fisk has been named vice president of on-line marketing and analytics; previously she had been vice president of audience development and management at Belo Interactive. Before joining Belo, Fisk was vice president of marketing at Gaylord Entertainment and earlier worked at ad agencies such as Oglivy & Mather and J. Walter Thompson. ...

Before joining the Dispatch two years ago, Bennett worked as an editor at the Daily Press in Victorville, Calif., and the Daily Independent in Ridgecrest, Calif. ... At the Daily Tribune of Hibbing, Minn., Brian Anderson has been named managing editor; previously he was editor and general manager of Minnesota's weekly Chisholm Tribune Press for the last nine years (both are Murphy McGinnis papers). Earlier, Anderson served as city editor of the Daily Tribune from 1990 to 1993. ... At New Mexico's Las Vegas Optic, Tom McDonald has been named editor and publisher; previously he was editor of Arkansas' Pine Bluff Commercial.
