Universidad La Salle and AMERICAN CHAMBER/MEXICO's Education Committee have formed an alliance to design a diploma course aimed at teaching executives about integrity in leadership and how to instill a culture of corporate values according to the needs of their organization.

Topics for the course, titled Administration By Corporate Values, were outlined by Universidad La Salle. The Chamber's Education Committee then analyzed them and interviewed the leaders of each module in order to adapt the program to the specific needs of small- and medium-sized companies.

The committee, which will monitor the entire course, also decided to include real case studies from successful companies in each module.

In the first module, Integrity in the Exercise of Leadership, participants will discuss the role of the leader, as well as values, company and society as units that cannot be divided. The module also will address turning a real culture into the ideal culture.

The Leader as a Promoter of Change, the title of the second module, refers to the implementation of new processes within the company.

The third module has been designed to define the Strategic and Operational Planning of a Company, followed by a step-by-step guide explaining How to Develop a Strong Culture of Values. The fifth module will address the Total Alignment of the Culture in the Company.

Finally, an Integration module will include a presentation by each participant to the general director of their company on how to apply what they have learned.

It is hoped that by developing a clear vision of corporate values in the participants, they will then demonstrate good work ethics to the rest of the company. These "leaders" will then implement processes of change, adaptation and reorganization of company culture, which will positively affect productivity and profitability in the medium term.

The program includes six modules of 20 hours each and will run from February to July at La Salle's facilities. AMCHAM members are entitled to a special price for this diploma course.
