Recycling older computers.
While dumping old computers may be the easy way to get rid of
clutter, doing so does not help the environment nor make the world a
better place. Instead, why not consider the option offered by the
Nonprofit Recycling and Reuse Network, a network of individual nonprofit
organizations in the United States, Canada, Australia, and the United
Kingdom.

The network facilitates the donation of used computers and office
electronics by connecting nonprofit organizations across the United
States and worldwide with business as well as consumer donors. Go to
www.recycles.org and click on "contact" to make a request. You
will receive an e-mail response that provides information about donating
equipment, what type of equipment is acceptable, how to correct donation
information after it has been submitted, and so forth.
Clicking on "donate used equipment" provides access to a
simple donation form. Note: Donors' e-mail address and contact
information remain confidential and will never be revealed to anyone
either inside or outside of the recycling network.
