Ricoh Corporation has introduced the Ricoh Aficio AP410/AP410N
Series, two monochrome laser desktop printers that offer superb image
quality, intuitive device management utilities, and low operational
costs. By combining a sleek, compact design and advanced performance
capabilities, the Aficio AP410/AP410N Series is the ideal printing
solution for small businesses and workgroups.
In order to stay ahead of the competition, small businesses and
workgroups are continuously searching for ways to cut costs without
sacrificing performance. With a low cost per page, large expandable
paper supply and long-lasting toner cartridges, the Aficio AP410/AP410N
Series significantly reduces office expenditures while maximizing
workflow efficiency. The printers also produce high-quality,
professional prints at the rapid speed of 28 pages per minute (ppm). In
addition to its attractive running costs, the Aficio AP410/AP410N
Series' ergonomic design provides convenient front-access paper
trays and a comfortable desktop fit even when fully configured with
multiple paper trays.
"Our small-business customers require technology that enables
them to achieve optimal levels of office productivity and
efficiency," said Hede Nonaka, vice president of marketing for
Ricoh Corporation. "The Aficio AP410/AP410N Series meets those
needs by providing a professional quality printing resource with network
ready features all at a low total cost of ownership."
Besides cost and performance, small businesses and workgroups are
seeking effective strategies to protect information assets. To fulfill
business security needs, the Aficio AP410/AP410N Series includes a
SmartDeviceMonitor that enables users to encrypt print data via an
Internet Printing Protocol, and a Locked Print feature that suspends
output until a PIN code is entered into the control panel. An optional
Network Data Protection Data Unit, available only in the Aficio AP410N,
allows for data encryption so the printer can properly recreate the data
stream. These comprehensive security solutions help protect against
opportunistic or targeted threats and information theft.
Advanced features of the Aficio AP410/AP410N include:
* Fast Output Speeds Up to 28 ppm with a 7.5 second first-page-out
time
* User-Selectable Resolution Settings Up to 1200 x 1200 dpi at full
engine speed, producing high-quality, professional prints
* Standard 500-Sheet Paper Tray and 100-sheet bypass with the
capacity to hold up to two additional 500-sheet paper feed trays
* Peer-to-Peer Printing Available Via Bi-directional IEEE
1284-Compliant Parallel and USB 2.0 ports, plus connectivity via
standard Ethernet 10/100 BaseTX interface in the Aficio AP410N
* Print Ability on Paper Stocks and media types including
transparencies, card stocks, recycled papers, custom paper sizes, and
envelopes
* A PDF Direct Print, which allows the Aficio AP410/AP410N Series
to receive and print PDF files from connected PCs
To meet the growing business needs of small offices and workgroups,
the Aficio AP410/AP410N Series can be enhanced with the optional IS200e
Image Scanner upgrade, which provides full color and black and white
scanning at 16 ppm and 33 ppm, respectively. The IS200e enables digital
information distribution with Scan-to-Email, Scan-to-Folder, and
Scan-to-Print options. High quality document resolution can be achieved
with the IS200e Image Scanner's true optical resolution of 600 x
600 dpi.
The Aficio AP410 is available at a suggested retail price of
$599.00, and the Aficio AP410N is available for $799.00. Additionally,
the IS200e Image Scanner is available at a suggested retail price of
$1750.00.
