The AGS1000 series Cartesian gantry system uses brushless
servomotors with customizable Z and q for increased flexibility. The
motors drive the gantry to speeds of 2 m/s and accelerations of 2g.
Feedback is from a noncontact optical linear encoder, with resolution
options ranging from l0 nm to 1.0 [micro]m. The design is optimized to
account for thermal expansion to ensure accuracy under all operating
conditions.
