CallWave, Inc. (Nasdaq:CALL), Santa Barbara. Calif., a leading
provider of VoIP enhanced services, has launched its new Follow Me
Home(SM) feature for mobile phones. Follow Me Home allows CallWave
subscribers to automatically receive calls destined for their mobile
phone on a designated landline when their mobile phone is either turned
off or out of the coverage area.
The new feature not only enables users to receive important calls
they otherwise might have missed, but it also enables them to save
money. Subscribers can turn off their cell phone when at home or in the
office and still receive their calls, saving mobile minutes in the
process.
Follow Me Home is equally beneficial for consumers with poor mobile
phone reception in their home or office. Users can avoid low voice
quality phone conversations simply by turning off their mobile phone
while at home, knowing that calls intended for that phone will
automatically ring on their designated higher quality work or home
phone.
The new Follow Me Home feature will be available first as part of
CallWave's new Mobile Prepaid Phone service, also announced today,
initially launched to CallWave's existing subscriber base. CallWave
will offer the feature as part of its CallWave for Cell Phones service
shortly thereafter.
"When at home or in the office, consumers often prefer to
receive calls on their landline phone, since the call quality is better
and it means they don't have to worry about using up precious
mobile minutes," said David Hofstatter, president and CEO of
CallWave. "Our new Follow Me Home feature is yet another example of
how we are making it easier for mobile phone users to save money and
take important calls on the most convenient device."
